The V.L.College of Pharmacy provides the teaching & training facilities for students who opt for Bachelor in Pharmacy. The examinations and the awarding of the Diploma for this particular course is carried out by the Board of Examining Authority constituted by the Govt. of Karnataka. The entire teaching and training programme as well as the conduct of examinations etc., are in accordance with the Educational Regulations framed by the Pharmacy council of India which is the recognising authority.
  • Admission Requirements :
 
Minimum requirements for admission to the Bachelor Course in Pharmacy are as follows:
Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology in any of the following examinations :
     

1] Candidates should have passed the 2 year P.U.C.Examination of Karnataka. P.U.C. Board or an equivalent examination of any other approved Board or university with minimum 50% marks in any combination comprising Physics, Chemistry, Maths (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology(PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Biology.

2] In the case of SC/ST, group-A the minimum requirement in percentage of marks for the admission to B.Pharm course shall be 40% in combination. Or
3] Final D.Pharm examination conducted by an authority approved by the Pharmacy council of India with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in all subjects of Final D.Pharm
  • Course and Curriculum :
About the course : The course of study of B.Pharma I, II, III and Final year will include the respective theory and practical subjects as given in the tables below. The number of hours to be devoted to each theory, tutorial and practical sublects in an academic year will not be less than that noted below.

Duration of course: The course of B.Pharma will extend over a period of four academic years. The curricula and syllabi for the course will be prescribed from time to time by RGUHS.
